What to Bring

Prepare for Kickoff

Let's Have a Ball Together

We have lots of experience keeping kids safe and comfortable while having fun. Please read below to learn about what your player should bring to class or camp.

What to Bring

  • All players should come dressed to move.
  • Lil' Boots (ages 3-6): Players need their own size 3 ball and a filled water bottle. They may wear sneakers instead of cleats outdoors; we recommend shin guards at this age but do not require them. Please leave Crocs, "fancy" shoes, and slip-ons at home.
  • Ages 7+: Players need their own ball of the appropriate size and a filled water bottle. Shin guards are required, as are cleats for outdoor play and sneakers or flat soccer shoes for indoor training.
  • Winter Indoor Programs: Indoor players should wear SNEAKERS or FLAT SOCCER SHOES instead of cleats, as we play on a smooth gym floor surface.
  • Day Camps: Our experienced trainers know how to help players enjoy themselves in summer weather. We utilize pavilion-style shade tents, other shaded outdoor areas, and a schedule that incorporates regular rest and water breaks. Full-day camps incorporate air-conditioned spaces for cooling breaks, training periods and lunch. Full-day players should bring SNEAKERS or FLAT SOCCER SHOES in addition to cleats. Crocs and slides are comfy for downtime, but do not provide enough support for indoor training.
  • Water fountains with bottle fillers are available during our winter indoor programs. Summer camps (both full-day and half-day) will have refill stations filled with ice water. There are no refill options available during weekly programs.

Please don't bring:

  • Cough, fever, headache, body aches, sore throat, loss of smell or taste, or any other ill feeling.
  • If your player is following the quarantine guidelines of another entity (CDC, school, etc.), please keep them home until they have been released by that same entity.

Players arriving at a camp or program and exhibiting symptoms of illness will not be allowed to participate and will be sent home. We will happily give a prorated credit for any day(s) missed due to illness -- there's no need to push your player to "just try and see how you feel."

Other Safety Info

  • All our summer camps have staff trained in concussion protocols, first aid, and CPR.
  • Staff also undergo Golden Boot's own training program to ensure they know how to put young players' safety and security first.
  • We encourage carpooling and love meeting caretakers! If your family is coordinating with others, please help us out by sending an email to info@goldenbootsoccer.com giving permission for your child to be picked up by another player's parent, a babysitter, grandparent, etc.
