About Golden Boot

Golden Boot Soccer has been established in 1996 to provide high quality and innovative youth soccer training services in Virginia, Washington D. C., and Maryland vicinity. Our aim and the underlying motive is to enrich youth soccer players' experience of the beautiful game by teaching the technical, tactical, physical and cognitive pillars of soccer; and ultimately instilling or enhancing a desire and passion for the game that will enable the soccer players of tomorrow actualize their potential.

About Owner Tamir Linhart

Tamir Linhart is a former professional and college player. He had a 7-year professional career with Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League. During that time, Hapoel Tel Aviv won 2 National Championships and qualified for the UEFA Cup. Tamir was the Top-Scorer of the UEFA Intertoto Cup. He also played professionally for the Washington Warthogs of the Continental Indoor Soccer League. Linhart played collegiality for George Mason University where he was a 2 time All American and was voted “Soccer America” magazine MVP. Tamir is a member of the George Mason University Soccer Hall of Fame and the Washington Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Tamir has over 25 years of coaching experience. He worked with thousands of players in camps and clinics. Tamir runs coaches clinics for professional and volunteer coaches. He is a soccer columnist and a former radio commentator for the World Football Daily.

Golden Boot Staff

We hire experienced soccer professionals who have a talent for the game AND a talent for working with young athletes. The result is a very deep bench of trainers who truly enjoy coaching children, and who have the perception and skills necessary to help our players develop their potential. Soccer is an exciting, rewarding, fast-moving sport. We take multiple steps to help players stay safe and have fun, by making sure trainers are trained themselves in the latest coaching and safety issues.

Our trainers are:

  • Carefully selected
  • Experienced and well-trained
  • Background-checked
  • Hold a coaching license
  • Hold a CDC Concussion Training certification
  • Trained in first aid and CPR

 

Employment 

We have openings for a select number of part-time trainers. Candidates should have playing experience, experience working with youth players, an ability to relate to kids, and a passion for coaching. We offer a variety of training programs for boys and girls ages 3-18, and are looking for engaging, enthusiastic, positive professionals who enjoy working with developing soccer players. Refund and Cancellations Policy

Inclement weather policy


No refunds will be given if a camp or class is canceled due to inclement weather. For weekly classes, we will attempt to schedule a makeup session, generally added to the end of the schedule. For camp days that must be fully canceled, we will issue a pro-rated credit that may be used for any future camp or class, with the exception of private and semiprivate, mini-group training, or partnership-based camps. For winter weather, please note that Golden Boot Soccer does not follow the cancellation schedule of a particular county school system or government.


Cancellations


All cancellations must be received in writing 2 weeks before the start of the program. If you have to cancel your registration after these dates, Golden Boot Soccer will issue you a program credit for all fees paid. Your credit is transferable to a family member and may be used for any scheduled camp or program, with the exception of private and semiprivate, mini-group training, or partnership-based camps. There will be no refunds for withdrawals that occur after the start of a program.
