Sunday REC Programs

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single dribble. And undeniably, the most important skill of soccer is touch.

Positive Touch lays the foundation to every dribbling move, every pass, and every kind of shot. The camp is designed to give players thousands of touches on the ball as well as to teach creative moves and footwork. Players equipped with soft touch on the ball and quality dribbling skills undoubtedly improves player confidence and makes them better players.

Goalkeepers must possess and improve a separate set of technical, mental, and physical skills than the field player. It's even more important to obtain quality training independently when players don't receive this kind of focus and attention during their regular practices. Players learn through instructional demos, technical activities and dynamic exercises. They also have an opportunity to apply the skills and concepts learned in game-like situations during shooting drills and scrimmages.

Benefits

  • Improves technical skills such as diving, shot-stopping, positioning, punting, throwing, and more.
  • Develops cognitive skills such as hand/high coordination, reflexes, and quick reaction.
  • Teaches handling high balls, stopping breakaways, and proper positioning.
  • Enhances physical skills such as flexibility, agility, jumping, quick footwork, and more.
  • Develops leadership skills and improve communication with defenders.

All players will receive a Golden Boot Soccer jersey! It's our way of counting down to the kickoff of our 20th anniversary season in 2018.

Your child finished the fun introduction to the game of soccer in our Lil' Boots program and is ready to make the leap into the next level. However, getting to the next level is a gradual process. Exposing young players to activities and skills that are too advanced can be counter-productive to their development and may even result in them quitting the game.

Young players ages 7-8 must go through an intermediate program that focuses on basic individual skills such as ball mastery and 1v1 moves.

Our new Player Development Bridge program is designed to do just that. It is the missing 'Bridge' between our Lil' Boots program and the more advanced Positive Touch Footskills program, and consists of age-appropriate activities that ensure a smooth and confident transition to the next level.

All players will receive a Golden Boot Soccer jersey! It's our way of counting down to the kickoff of our 20th anniversary season in 2018.
